E46 M3 BMW
August 31, 2006 | | TrackBacks

BMW M3
The 3rd Generation of a long history of amazing sports cars, my E46 M3 BMW ($60k range) is one of the most amazing of them all. Besides getting looks and stares that makes me feel like I've actually achieved something by simply driving this vehicle, the car offers much in terms of luxury and sports-car feel, all in a very attractive looking package. A sporty luxury based car sounds like oxymoron to many, simply because of conflicting features that include suspension, torque and the sporty feel, which are all things that luxury cars go the other direction in, when compared to their sportier counterparts. Its very fast, sexy, and definitely a lot more unique and rare when compared to the number of regular 3-series on the road. The M emblem makes you part of a cult, a cool, suave, and sophisticated driver who is more than just a BMW owner.

Adidas Shoe Band
August 30, 2006 | | TrackBacks

I was never a fan of soccer cleats with asymmetrical lacing (lacing on the non-passing side of the shoe). Coaching younger kids, its funny how they assume that the asymmetrical style would allow them to play better.. granted some (few rare ones) do; but, for the most part the traditional ones hug and stay on the foot better. Tying up your laces is another issue all together, I've spent a lot of time teaching how to get laces tied properly. I saw this Adidas Shoe Band ($7.99) and fell in love with it. I ask all kids to wear it for multiple reasons... If their laces come undone or if they never knew how to properly tie soccer laces.. slap these on around their laces and they're set! Now just focus on the playing..

Motorola Pink Razr V3m
August 27, 2006 | | Comments (1) | TrackBacks

Let me start by saying that the Motorola RAZR V3m (Pink) ($350) is the CUTEST phone I've had!. Everyone looks and/or comments on it, so if you're a narcissist like me you'll love it. But people, please get the light pink one, the hot pink is just tacky! and don't forget to get the matching pink H500 Bluetooth headset ($75). On the downside the battery life is not so great, texting isn't the easiest either and you sometimes scroll instead of hitting 'ok' or hit 'ok' instead of scrolling, because of the flat buttons... but c'mon aren't we in it for the cute?!

Crest Whitestrips Supreme
August 26, 2006 | | TrackBacks

Having used the non-Supreme version of this product in the past, I really wanted to experience the 'supreme' feel and that led me to purchase a box of this kit, Crest Whitestrips Supreme. I need not mention how important having pearly whites are to a smile, which itself speaks volumes about you in first appearances, so I never hesitate in trying new things. The kit is for 21 days (84 strips), and now that I’m half way through, I can truly admit that it is definitely stronger than the regular brand. My teeth are a little on the sensitive side and so I experience a little pain towards the end of my recommended 30 minute treatment, something I didn’t experience with the regular strength (6.5% versus 14% hydrogen peroxide/ the active ingredient in all of these products). If you experience any discomfort with the regular strength, then this kit is definitely not for you. Very few stores carry this item, so either ask your dentist for a kit or order online, the price should run in the US $40-50 range.

Infocus - X3
August 21, 2006 | | TrackBacks

Thanks to a mishap at my office, the old crummy projector blew.. the following replacement, Infocus X3 ($899) showed up and all of a sudden everyone had presentations to deliver. Interesting. I finally got my hands on the light portable contraption and it is *insert holy music* NICE! Powered by 750 ANSI Lumens, with a 2000:1 contrast ratio which is more than enough for a standard daytime powerpoint presentation. If you're ever working late at the office.. and you dont take advantage by hooking it up to your laptop and playing a DVD.. its your loss.

Chick-fil-A Milkshake
August 21, 2006 | | TrackBacks

shakeChocolate.jpgMy mom called me from Chick-fil-A's drive-thru a few weeks ago insisting I HAD to try Chick-fil-A's newest menu addition, hand-spun milkshakes. Being the ice cream fanatic my family is, I knew it had to be good. Needless to say, she was right. Their new milkshakes, available in strawberry, chocolate, vanilla and even cookies & cream did not disappoint. The milkshake is smooth...not runny and yet not too thick to use a straw. The price is decent around $3, well justified by its humongous size. I have yet to finish one completely, which is great since each packs up to 790 calories! Save the hour spinning class I have to attend to work it off, this milkshake knows how to, dare I say it, shake its milk.

Blackberry Green Tea Frappuccino
August 20, 2006 | | TrackBacks

Not one to ever turn down a beverage, I ordered myself the new offering at the local Starbucks located within Barnes & Nobles.. I definitely think this is one of the better drinks on their menu for those who dont like hot drinks.. I never usually look at my starbucks receipt, but this prob fell within the standard $3.50 - 4 range for a grande frappuccino. I did get worried when the lad behind the counter had to look up the recipe.. but goes to show they probably have a mature CMMi! Well done..

Il Divo - Ancora
August 19, 2006 | | TrackBacks

Il Divo If you’re into opera music, with a mild pop twist then you will love this CD. The CD is slow in nature along with a song featuring Celine Dion, which is great for relaxing. Most of the songs will sound familiar to many, since they are common hits yet with a Spanish redo. The artists are very diverse and offer a great mix of baritone opera mixed with a mild pop combination, that I have come to enjoy very much. The group was introduced to me via a girl that I met one night, and so, to be fair, here’s a Thank You to Marisa who did more for me in one night than most girls have, through many dates. The CD can be sampled and had for $13.99 at Best Buy

Benzashave
August 19, 2006 | | Comments (3) | TrackBacks

Benzashave (Benzoyl Peroxide 5% or 10%)is a shaving cream that’s only available through your doctor (in the US anyways). Suffering from sensitive skin that resulted in redness along with the appearance of mild acne myself, I decided to give this product a shot, and its wonderful. It basically replaces your current shaving cream and a small amount lubricates the entire face, enough to give you a smooth shave. Benzashave has an antibacterial effect, along with mild drying that allows oils to be washed away; its unrecognized uses include the treatment of in-grown hairs and regular breakouts. Being the impatient and result oriented guy that I am, I opted for the 10% formulation, bypassing the weaker, less potent 5%.

LG "The V"
August 19, 2006 | | TrackBacks

Walking into the Verizon store, I had no idea as to what they were offering to compete with the Treo.. I immediately walked up to the display case containing the VX9800 "The V" phone. For $200, this allows for a mini-SD card, has an equalizer which can be seen when you split open the phone and speakers capable of delivering an IT professional through the roughest hours of night during a production outage. Oh.. and I can now proudly say that Ive got a phone that looks like Simon Templar's from the movie The Saint. I'm off to perform a miracle..
