 I was never a fan of soccer cleats with asymmetrical lacing (lacing on the non-passing side of the shoe). Coaching younger kids, its funny how they assume that the asymmetrical style would allow them to play better.. granted some (few rare ones) do; but, for the most part the traditional ones hug and stay on the foot better. Tying up your laces is another issue all together, I've spent a lot of time teaching how to get laces tied properly. I saw this Adidas Shoe Band ($7.99) and fell in love with it. I ask all kids to wear it for multiple reasons... If their laces come undone or if they never knew how to properly tie soccer laces.. slap these on around their laces and they're set! Now just focus on the playing.. |
