Fruity Cheerios
May 2, 2007 | Health

I'll start off by saying that I love Honey Nut Cheerios but now my new favorite is the Strawberry Yogurt Cheerios. I wasn't surprised to see this new product, Fruity Cheerios, touting a fruity version of your standard Cheerios. As far as Cheerios go, they are pretty good- they leave a bit of that multi-grain aftertaste but with only a 100 calories they are a great breakfast/snack. If you've ever had Fruit Loops you'll quickly realize that Fruity Cheerios are not so much the sweet/dessert (sugar rich) like snack but more-so healthier alternative. It's a great alternative to the age-old competitor Fruit Loops, I dont see kids being swayed but maybe adults would find this more attractive to get a 'Fruit Loops'-like experience and not so guilty feeling afterwards. Here are some quick healthy facts about Fruity Cheerios:
  • 25% less sugar than the leading fruity cereal
  • 12 essential vitamins and minerals
  • An excellent source of whole grain in every serving
  • Alexandria Oil-based Lamp
    February 23, 2007 | Scents

I love candles, from a decorative and aromatic perspective and now that I have my new oil-based lamp my husband can stop complaining that he needs to buy stock in Pier1 because I'm in the candle section so often. I received the Alexandria Amber confetti lamp with the Desert Night fragrance as a gift from my mom. Not only does it look beautiful, but the fragrance is amazing and it purifies the air. It's strong enough that we have it in our bedroom and can smell it from downstairs. The desert night fragrance is also light enough that it doesnt make you sneeze when your in the same room with it. I dont mind having it out for guests to see since its so beautiful and in a house with 3 dogs guests are surprised to find out we have pets. It's easy to use.. light the flame for a couple of minutes, blow it out and you have a scent all day long till you put the cap back on.. unlike candles if you fall asleep you dont have to worry about anything catching on fire.

Cant wait to try the other scents, get another lamp for downstairs and I will defintiely by giving this as a gift in the future.

    Zen Puppy - Peace
    February 6, 2007 | Pet Food

"Sometimes a dog just needs to chill a little" - Zen Puppy.

My three dogs are crazy wild and unruly. The treats are a great size for training, so hopefully by the end of the box they'll be just a tad bit less unruly. Fingers crossed.. highly doubt it.. these dogs have had years of practice in unruliness.. they wont go willingly. They do seem to love the taste, and the cool package looks neat on my kitchen counter - if you've seen my previous reviews you'll notice how I like cool looking things so its a perk that the treats taste good - ha ha. The treats have organic ingredients so I dont feel like the lil ones will be as wide as they are long by the time Im done training them which in reality could take years. Its nice to have a product that appeals to both the dog and owner and it will continue to be a staple in the doggie cabinet. I can't wait to try the other Zen Puppy products also.

    Orbit Lemon-Lime
    September 22, 2006 | Candy

Remember when you were twelve, and you used to chew on fruit stripe gum  ? Well, thats what Orbit's Lemon-Lime (12 pack - $18 / 1 pack - $1.30) mint is like! Lasts longer than fruit stripe but less than the other Orbit flavors (i.e. Orange mint). but that could just be me losing track of time while day-dreaming back to the those fruit-stripe days of big hair and gap teeth. I always have sugar-free gum on me (be true to your teeth!) as it helps me not to clinch/grind my teeth while I'm concentrating. Definitely a great addition to my rotation list along with INXS.

    Tom Tom 300
    September 19, 2006 | GPS | Gadgets

Comes in handy on long-trips and around town,  unless my computer geek husband hasn’t updated it, in which case I might make a wrong turn into ‘Its Just Hair’ as opposed to the salon I usually go to. I don’t need to tell you how disastrous that mistake could be. Tom Tom 300 can be programmed for many different voices, my favorite is Ken from Australia because he seems to be so supportive of me when he’s telling me to ‘make a U-turn ahead’ when I’ve doubted him and gone the wrong way.  The 3D effects make it easy to read, and fun to watch. The fact that you can check it at the airport and put in your rental car makes it great, especially for the directionally challenged like me.

    Motorola Pink Razr V3m
    August 27, 2006 | Cellphones | Gadgets

Let me start by saying that the Motorola RAZR V3m (Pink) ($350) is the CUTEST phone I've had!. Everyone looks and/or comments on it, so if you're a narcissist like me you'll love it. But people, please get the light pink one, the hot pink is just tacky! and don't forget to get the matching pink H500 Bluetooth headset ($75). On the downside the battery life is not so great, texting isn't the easiest either and you sometimes scroll instead of hitting 'ok' or hit 'ok' instead of scrolling, because of the flat buttons... but c'mon aren't we in it for the cute?!
