 | Alright, Im kinda ticked off by this remote, but its not the remote's fault.. heres the issue.. having the Tivo box now part of our home theatre experience, we've now got 6 remotes on our coffee table. RCA Navilight8 was recommended to me because it does DVR (i.e. Tivo).. the ONLY thing that this remote doesnt do is the cable box menu guide option.. which is THE MOST popular function to use! I can use the menu guide which comes with Tivo but its just not as cool... so this means that I still need to have two remotes. I gotta say though that this RCA remote was extremely easy to configure for my other devices.. it's got a cool feature where the buttons light up, so no more squinting at night.. and again.. the ability to configure a device for it to operate was extremely simple. We've now reduced the total number of remotes down to 2! *cue the Aerosmith song* 'It's Amazing' ...but the only thing it doesnt do is the Guide option on my Pioneer Digital Cable box.. Im gonna call TimeWarner and see if I can get that box updated. |
