We were initially planning on purchasing the Sims 2 for our 9 year old daughter, but when I saw how there were teenagers making out on the cover of that game.. I dropped that request. (update: apparently there's another kid-friendly version of the Sims which doesnt have any kissing going on) She received this game from her Nana, and initially I figured it'd be just a regular '2 hour and done with' kinda game . I was wrong! This thing actually teaches business-sense to kids! Pet Vet does a great job of making the player very aware of their state of finances and how a business' reputation can effect their popularity, and ultimately their income. I know of some real companies whom would benefit by having their employees play this game and realize that point. Back to the game.. it's simple, straight to the point, allows for a wealthy number of opportunities and options which I can see keeping my lil girl busy for at least a couple of months. Software requirements: Direct X, Windows XP/2000 and a decent amount of RAM and disk space and you'll be just fine.

The cat and dog food is on the shelf above the bird food in the cans...You'll have to get really close to it and you'll then be able to pick it up..

The game is great! I just can't figure out how to do the task that says discover the fields near the ranch... I already bought the horse but I don't know what to do next.

o i have 1 more questionh:how do you give the animals back to their owners? i have 3 healthy animals but i can't give them back...or do their owner pick them up when they are ready

The owners come and get them when they're healthy and ready to go home. What I can't figure out is how to ride anywhere but to town or around my buildings. When do the other trails open up?

You can get a horse when you have enough money (5,000). Just go to the feed mill, hover your mouse over the bulletin board until you see "horse market" in blue. Click it and pick your horse.

BEFORE PLAYING: Make sure you download and install the patch. If you don't, you'll never get the extra riding areas unlocked. I was on day 68, finally e-mailed tech support, and they had me download it. It erases all previous gamesave files, but starting over with the patched version is much nicer. I already have the meadows and forest unlocked. You can even jump bales of hay in the meadow. :-)

Go over to the water barrel, click on it, then click on "take" as many times as you need (up to 6, though).

After installing the patch, my boarding house magically got brooms, but I still can't fill the birdbath. Also,one guinea pig escaped the hutch but is still in the boarding house. I don't know about cats yet, though.

when you scroll over the dishes you have to put the food in the container with the pets name on it for example, if the pets name is bob scroll over the dishes most of them will say pet dish but one will say bob i had this problem at first to...
